‘The Path to Nature Recovery: Durham Heritage Coast’ premiered on Tuesday 29th April to National Trail Officers and wider partners. The second in ‘The Path to Nature Recovery’ series, this video focuses on a section of the King Charles III England Coast Path where outcomes for people and nature are being delivered through the Coastal Grasslands Reconnected project, funded by the Government’s Species Survival Fund.

Led by the Durham Heritage Coast Partnership, the project aims to restore magnesian limestone grasslands along the coast and work with partners to connect local and wider visitors to this unique coastline and National Trail.

This is an inspirational project, building upon the legacy of decades of previous work and is an amazing example of delivering our vision for Coastal Wildbelt.

Like the project, this film was a true partnership effort between Durham Heritage Coast, National Trails UK, National Trust and Durham County Council, expertly pulled together by ‘Chris Ord Stills & Video’.

You can now view the video at the link below, alongside the first episode in the series, focused on the Pennine Way.

The “Path to Nature Recovery” series is funded thanks to Defra via the Protected Landscapes Partnership.
